About this policy
This policy explains how Cognatum uses cookies on this site.
Read it beside our privacy policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
The categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. You can accept or decline each non-essential category through our cookie banner.
Essential
Needed for the site to work and to record what you chose. These cannot be switched off, and we set them so the site runs and stays secure.
Analytics
Used to see how visitors find and use the site, which pages they read, and where they get stuck. It tells us what to improve.
Marketing
Used to link a visit to a form you send us, and to measure campaigns. The HubSpot tracking code and the advertising pixel it loads sit here, so does the Google Ads linker, and so do the campaign and advert click cookies this site sets itself.

The table below is the whole list of what this site stores on your device. Every row is something this site loads or stores itself. One thing we load stores nothing here, and it is described under the table.

The demo scheduling calendar
When you send us a demo request, we show a HubSpot booking calendar on the page so you can pick a time. It is a page from HubSpot shown inside ours, and it loads only after you submit that form.
We treat it as essential, so it loads whatever you chose in the banner. Three reasons:
- It delivers the booking you asked for by sending the form.
- It is not measurement and it is not advertising.
- Declining to show it would mean answering a request for a meeting by hiding the calendar.
HubSpot may store its own data against that calendar under its own policy. That is why we name it here rather than leave it out for storing nothing on our side.
Your choices
Our cookie banner
On your first visit you will see a banner. You can accept cookies, decline the ones that are not essential, or set each category on its own.
Where the law requires it, including for visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, we set no analytics or marketing cookie until you accept one. Visitors elsewhere may decline through the same banner or through their browser.
Why the banner lists more categories than this page
The banner is run by Osano and shows their standard set of categories. We cannot rename or remove them, so two of the names there differ from the three used above.
The category the banner calls Targeted Advertising is the one this page calls Marketing. It is one control under two names, and it is the one that governs the HubSpot tracking code and the cg_utm cookie in the table above.
The banner also offers a Personalization category. We set nothing in it, so accepting or declining it changes nothing on this site.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not change whether what we did before you withdrew it was lawful.
Browser controls
Most browsers can block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking every cookie may stop parts of this site working.
Opt-out signals your browser sends
Where the law requires it, we honour the Global Privacy Control. We treat that signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
Some browsers also send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common industry standard for reading it, so this site does not respond to it. It is a separate mechanism from the Global Privacy Control above, which we do honour where the law requires.
Sale or sharing of personal information
Some analytics and marketing methods described here may count as a sale or a sharing of personal information under California law and under comparable state laws.
You can opt out at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer by turning off the marketing category. Section 6 of our privacy policy sets out how we handle a request of that kind.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the tools we use change or when the law changes. The review date at the top shows when it last changed.
